Hästens Bellevue

Public Relations Intern at Gossip & Glamour

My internship with Gossip & Glamour introduced me to the world of luxury public relations. I had the opportunity to work with prestigious brands such as Prada, Lady M, Bloomingdale's, The Four Seasons Hotels, and Hästens.

Hästens is a luxury Swedish company that specializes in handcrafted mattresses made from natural materials, as well as premium bedding and sleep accessories. As part of the grand opening of their first location in Washington State, I was responsible for creating promotional and brand-focused content to educate the community about the Hästens brand and build anticipation for the Bellevue store opening.

I created a two-month content calendar for biweekly posting. My goal was to combine Hästens' large-scale branding with the Pacific Northwest's unique character. During this period, I successfully increased their follower count from 20 to 100.

THE RAGE Magazine

Director of Social Media and Public Relations

During my junior and senior years of college, I created and managed social media content for The Rage Magazine, an up-and-coming fashion publication at Western Washington University. I began as a member of the social media team and was later promoted to Director of Public Relations and Social Media.

In my role as director, I led a team of 10 to produce promotional and creative content that aligned with The Rage's brand identity. I successfully boosted the follower count from 1,500 to 2,900 by shifting from Canva infographics to more unified, editorial-style photoshoots.

Additionally, I served as the creative director for an editorial spread titled "A Light from Within" for Issue 05. I collaborated with models, photographers, makeup artists, hair stylists, and graphic designers to bring the complete vision to life, from mood board to print.

DVSAS

Academic Work at Western Washington University

Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services is a nonprofit organization based in Bellingham, WA. Their mission is to support all victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in the Whatcom County area by providing resources that promote mental and physical well-being. I developed publications and social media content, as well as cohesive branding templates and guidelines for the team to reference after my work with them was completed.

All of the content was created collaboratively through a 10-week service-learning course.

PNW Plateful

Academic Work at Western Washington University

During my junior year at Western, I completed one of my two capstone courses, Research and Campaigns. This course lasted over ten weeks and involved conducting research on a local non-profit organization.

The non-profit we were assigned was PNW Plateful, a newer organization founded by a local restaurant owner and chef to address food insecurity and hunger in the Skagit County area.

My team and I conducted community research through both in-person and online methods, focusing on wellness and food-related issues for four weeks. We then used our findings to create a personalized PR campaign booklet and a formal pitch presentation for PNW Plateful.
